My husband and I struggled with infertility for twelve years.  During this time we grew tired and envious of everyone who had children.  My emotions varied from terrified, not knowing whether we would ever have a child, to sad, angry and frustrated.  I didn't feel whole or complete.  I discussed my concerns with my family doctor who referred me to Dr. Vasquez.  During our visit the staff made us feel like friends instead of patients.  They were friendly and reassuring.

During our initial consultation Dr. Vasquez recommended a complete infertility work-up and after reviewing the results, he recommended In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).  Dr. Vasquez explained everything to us, and no matter when we called he cheerfully answered our questions.  Therefore, my husband and I made the decision to proceed with the IVF procedure.

The procedure was very emotional.  It was hard to take the shots everyday and insure that we didn't make any mistakes during the process.  However, on September 12, 2006 all the years of disappointment, hurt, and envy were erased when I gave birth to Aleigha Grace and Elizabeth Claire.  When we see their beautiful smiles, eyes and the sound of their laughter, we forget about the long, painful and emotional journey.

Everyday that we wake up we still can't believe they are ours!
