In May 2006, my OBGYN referred us to Dr. Vasquez. They had the reputation of being the top clinic in Nashville, so we decided to give it our best shot. The staff at CRH was absolutely wonderful! At each visit, they spent focused time with us, explaining every step of the way, what we needed to do, and what to expect. Its almost as though we became a part of the "family" during this period - we looked forward to doctor's visits, knowing that these people had a true understanding of what we were going through both emotionally and physically. Through all the shots and the ultrasounds, the staff made things so much easier. In September 2006, we began our first IUI/ injectable cycle. After a long and eventful cycle, we were finally pregnant! Our dreams had come true and our prayers answered. Unfortunately, at our 9 week ultrasound, the baby's heart had stopped beating again, we were devastated and heartbroken. The emotional lows we were experiencing were intense. There were constant reminders that we didn't have children and from my tunnel vision, it appeared that everyone around me was pregnant. We continued to ask God for a child, although we began to believe that he might not have this in His plan for us. We prayed for a baby everyday... and in March 2007, after another IUI/injectable cycle... we found out we were pregnant again! On November 20th, 2007, our child, Avalyn Shaye was born. They say good things come to those who wait, however in our case, it was a miracle. Our empty arms finally filled, as God is entrusting us to love, raise and guide her through life! You never know the definition of perfection until you see your child and then all the struggle and the money becomes the most insignificant detail. I thank God everyday that there is a group of people in the world that make families complete like Dr. Vasquez and his staff. You
never realize how many people go through infertility, until you go
through it yourself. All of a sudden, you are the road less traveled and
not alone. While I would never have chosen infertility, it did change
our life. My husband and I grew closer, became stronger, and loved
deeper. We found strength in each other every time infertility knocked
us down. Maybe going through infertility was a test of will and
patience, but whatever the case may be, we cherish everyday
with our daughter and we pray for those still on that journey. Thank you
Dr. Vasquez and staff for making our dreams come true! |
